As always, this monthly gathering brings members together over delicious food for networking and business introductions. This month, we're adding a side of history and heart: mother-daughter duo Stephanie Detton and Sandra Smaldone-Lepp, who are the creators of the Italian American Stories Podcast, will be joining us to share stories from their archives.
About Our Special Guests/Speakers
Stephanie Detton is the founder and co-host of the Italian American Stories Podcast, specializing in archival newspaper research and uncovering forgotten Italian American narratives from across the country. She's also the founder of Found in Print Media LLC and works as an educator when she's not deep in the archives.
Sandra Smaldone-Lepp is the podcast's co-host and primary storyteller, known for her natural narrative voice and heartfelt delivery. A love of family heritage sparked the podcast's beginnings, and her dedication to honoring Italian immigrant stories shines through in every episode.
Together, this mother-daughter team turns overlooked history into unforgettable storytelling, and they're bringing that magic to our August meeting!
