Who We Are
The Italian American Business Association (IABA) is a group of business professionals from the greater metro Denver area. While our membership is largely people of Italian ancestry, anyone who appreciates our mission and what we stand for can become a member.
What we’re all about
The purpose of the IABA is to unite, serve and support the members of the Italian American business community and its associates. Individually and collectively, our members work to help improve business for our community. We focus on six primary initiatives—each with a single objective. Those initiatives include:
INTERSTATE COMMERCE – facilitating the introduction of an Italian American product/service from outside Colorado into the greater metro Denver retail market
INTRASTATE COMMERCE – facilitating the introduction of an Italian American product/service from within Colorado into the greater metro Denver retail market
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS – establishing a spirit of cooperation with local government in an effort to promote economic growth
BUSINESS PROMOTION – promoting business within our community by publishing and distributing a Directory of Italian American Businesses & Professionals, listing businesses on our website, conducting monthly networking social events
COMMUNITY RELATIONS – supporting positive community initiatives such as the Primo Awards™ (annual recognition of the best in Colorado’s Italian American community), Festival Italiano™ (Colorado’s largest Italian American celebration), and Automezzi.
What our members can expect from us
Although we’re about pitching in and helping wherever we can, there are tangible benefits to being a member. We conduct monthly social events to encourage members to network. We offer a referral program in an attempt to find assistance for members trying to build their businesses. We promote business within our community by working to continually improve our Directory of Italian American Businesses and Professionals.
In addition, members receive:

• a listing as a member on our website
• a membership decal for the window of your business
• a monthly electronic newsletter featuring an events calendar and news you can use
• a monthly email blast to the Italian American Business Association promoting your business

As business professionals we have a great appreciation for the value of your time. As an organization we recognize that our community is an incredible resource of talent. Our members are active in our organization. Each member contributes in his/her own way—by giving his/her time, talent, expertise or financial contribution—because we don’t just state our commitment…we demonstrate our commitment.
